A few of my highlights from a magical stay in Kerala, often referred as ‘God’s Own Country’.  March 2024

• Walking through the beautiful blend of sprawling tea plantations that blanket the mist-covered hills of Munnar.
• Exploring by boat and bicycle the narrow canals and serene village life of the backwaters, whilst listening to the sweet melodies of the most heavenly birdsong.
• Being mezmerized by the fisherman casting their massive nets as the sun descends over the river in Fort Kochi.
• Visiting the Dhobi Khana in Fort Kochi and catching a glimpse of traditional hand-washing laundry system run by the Tamil Vannan community, in particular the heavy charcoal irons.
